Brokering technology-sharing with Tatneft, aligned internal factions, and unlocked execution. Deal 2 — Australia’s Pipeline Lifeline (Santos Asset)
Rescued a billion-dollar pipeline project — Jackson to Brisbane — where eroding creek crossings threatened ecological disaster. After 2 months of high-stakes negotiation, secured agreement across warring internal teams. Restored all crossings within 6 months, extending asset life by 50 years. Proved that infrastructure can be saved — even when it’s literally falling apart.

Deal 3 — The PhD Handover: Australia’s Most Complex Plant Switch
Managed handover of a $10M engineering project to upgrade a live plant’s ESD system from analog relays to Triconex — a technically unprecedented task. Led a team of PhDs misunderstood by management. Deal 12 — Snubbing Rescue: 100,000 BPD Unlocked
Identified 100,000 barrels per day of locked capacity due to equipment failure. Fast-tracked the world’s best snubbing provider onto the vendor list. Within weeks, wells were unblocked — proving that operational paralysis can be reversed with the right technical partner and execution speed.

Deal 13 — $10B CAPEX Restructure (Client Confidential)
Restructured a $10B capital expenditure program over 12 months — aligning governance, risk, and execution across multiple divisions. Delivered on time, under budget, with zero disruption. Proved that even the largest capital programs can be re-engineered — with clarity and pressure.

Deal 14 — Coal Plant Fundraising: Beat Deloitte, Lost to Politics
Led fundraising for a $1.5B coal-fired plant in Azerbaijan — beating Deloitte for the mandate. Negotiated with SOCAR and Ismir Star Refinery. Project was later cancelled — but I was their lead. Proved that even when politics kills a deal, execution excellence still wins the mandate.

Deal 16 — My First Major Win: ASC vs. US Submarine Giant
At 23, I negotiated Australia’s submarine contract — pitting CBI against ASC, who were 4x more expensive. “Go Ozzie” wasn’t enough.
